• ADJUSTABLE SAFETY BELT GUIDE LOOPS allow the

shoulder safety belts for front passengers to be adjusted

up and down to fit the occupant more comfortably.

• FRONT-SEAT SAFETY BELT PRETENSIONER AND

FORCE-LIMITER mechanism reduces slack in the

shoulder safety belt upon a frontal impact, and then

releases the tension gradually to help lessen the

impact forces transferred to the occupant.

• THREE-POINT SAFETY BELT SYSTEM helps restrain

passengers; includes the rear center-seat position.

• REAR-SEAT HEAD RESTRAINTS for outboard seating

positions complement the standard safety features.

• REINFORCED STEEL SAFETY-CAGE CONSTRUCTION

surrounds occupants with a cocoon-like system of

structural components. This structure consists of

reinforced roof rails and door pillars and beams,

which are designed to help minimize intrusion into

the passenger compartment during a collision.

• FRONT AND REAR CRUSH ZONES are designed to

deform in a controlled manner in the event of a

collision, helping to absorb impact energy in order

to reduce intrusion into the passenger compartment.

• ENERGY-ABSORBING STEERING COLUMN AND

INSTRUMENT PANEL are designed to help absorb

collision impact to help reduce injury to the

driver’s body.

Optional

• SIDE AIR BAGS,* an option for all models, deploy

from the seatback sides and work with the vehicle’s

side structure to help reduce the risk of injury to

front-seat occupants’ rib and chest areas in side

impacts, such as those that can occur in some

intersection collisions.

• BUILT-IN REAR CHILD SAFETY SEAT (LSi only) offers

the convenience of an integrated safety restraint

designed for young children.

*Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even with Next

Generation air bags. Children are safer when properly secured in

a rear seat. See the owner’s manual for more safety information.

• CHILD SECURITY REAR-DOOR LOCKS, when

engaged, prevent the rear doors from being

opened from the inside.

• REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM,standard on Prizm

LSi, lets you lock or unlock doors and automatically

turns on interior lights up to 30 feet away.

Optional

• POWER DOOR LOCKS, optional on Sedan and

standard on LSi Sedan,allow every door to be

locked or unlocked from the driver seat position.

system are easy to identify and operate.

• DUAL MODE TRIP ODOMETER with liquid crystal display

allow drivers to keep track of individual trip distances

• GLOVE BOX provides ample storage space for

maps, gloves and other items.

• REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, standard on

Prizm LSi, transmits a uniquely coded, high

frequency radio signal to activate power lock/

unlock functions and automatically turn on the

interior lights up to 30 feet away.

• SINGLE KEY starts the car and operates locking

functions on all doors and the trunk.

• ADJUSTABLE SAFETY BELT GUIDE LOOPS for the

driver and front passenger allow the shoulder

safety belts to be adjusted up and down to fit the

occupant more comfortably.

• SCOTCHGARD

PROTECTION helps protect cloth

seating surfaces and door panel trim from stains

and makes cleanups easy.

• REAR-SEAT DUCTS maximize rear-passenger comfort.
